Discussion Lists

Discussion lists are email-based discussions where you can post messages and engage in discussions with other users on topics of common interest. There are all kinds of discussion lists on every imaginable topic.

Blatant advertising (or off-topic posts) is usually frowned upon in discussion lists, however many do allow you to place a Sig at the bottom of each message that you post to the list.

The best way to promote yourself through discussion lists is to try to find lists that are specifically about your topic and then participate in the discussion. If you are allowed to place a sig, then so much better the better - but don't just post to get your sig seen!

Discussions list fufill the same basic purpose as discussion boards - they provide a medium for communication. The difference is in the medium: email as opposed to web-based. Because discussion lists are email based, you may find they generate a lot of messages into your inbox, so you may prefer to use a special email address for subscribing.

Here are some lists that are specifically about E-Books:-
