| Pay Per Click Advertising
Pay Per Click Advertising is a great way to promote a web site. Basically it means that you pay other sites a set amount for each person who clicks on your banner or link and comes to your site.
If you want to promote an E-Book that you are selling, and still turn a profit then you will need to have a good idea of the percentage of people who come to your site who actually buy your product. This helps gives you an idea of whether you can profitably advertise using this method.
You can use this formula to calculate the maximum amount to spend per click:Max CPC =; Profit X Conversion Where:-- Max CPC = the maximum amount to pay for each click
- Conversion = the fraction of people who, after clicking on the link, buy the product, e.g. 0.01 if 1% of visitors to your site buy your product
- Profit = the gross amount of profit you make per sale, before advertising costs.
For example:- Suppose, you make $5 profit from sale - Suppose 2% of visitors to your site (on average), buy your product
For this example: Max CPC =; $5 X 0.02 = $0.10 There are many ways to advertise on a Per Click basis:With Pay Per Click advertising, you should be cautious of advertising on sites which offer their users an incentive to click (e.g. pay them a reward), as well as beware of fraudsters (especially if starting a Pay Per Click Affiliate Program). Ideally you want to get people to click (and only pay for the clicks), if the people clicking are genuinely interested in your offer.
